WEEK 8 - VIDEO REFLECTION

           My first assignment for SCE500 subject is to write a reflection about a science fiction related movie. After watching the movie, I have to identify the science components that can be observed in the movie. Then, do a critical analysis of the content of my chosen movie and  I also need to relate of what I have learned in the class. I have chosen What Happened to Monday movie as my video reflection assignment. This movie is one of my favourite movie for genre science fiction. I have a watch this movie multiple times and there are a lot of science components that I can relate to this movie. There are also a lot of advanced technologies in this movie so I can do some reflections on future technologies. 

         What Happened to Monday is a movie about overpopulation that has become a major problem in the world along with a large number of children being born with birth defects. The main idea in this movie is how the technology has been advanced throughout the year. They use a bracelet that has a more advanced function as a substitute for a smartphone. It shows that science technology has a good improvement and scientific ideas can be changed. Then, the scientist does not show a good work ethic because they are not honest to society. They lie about frozen the additional siblings but actually, they are killing the children by burning them in a burning pod. Moreover, overpopulation in the world causes climate change and reduces essential things such as water and food. Thus, the government wants to reduce the population by controlling the childbirth in each family. Each parent can only have one child because of the one-child policy. The policy is applied based on the observation that has happened to the world.
